Our mission is to raise money to find a cure for Multiple Sclerosis and to support those individuals and their families living with MS until a cure is found.

Welcoming Our New Executive Director

As Chair of the Board of Directors of MS Hope for a Cure, I am pleased to announce the appointment of Rachael Stacom, ANP-BC, MSN, MSCN, as Executive Director of MS Hope for a Cure, effective September 14, 2026.

With more than 20 years of experience in multiple sclerosis and disability care, Rachael brings extensive clinical, programmatic, and leadership expertise to her new role.

She previously served as Senior Vice President of Population Health at Independence Care System (ICS), where she spent more than two decades developing and leading specialized programs for adults with physical disabilities, including people living with multiple sclerosis, spinal cord injury, and dementia.

Under Rachael’s leadership, ICS was recognized by the National Multiple Sclerosis Society as a Center of Excellence in Long-Term Care for people with MS and as an MS Partner in Care. Rachael also continues to bring her clinical expertise to the MS community as a practicing nurse practitioner at The MS Center at BronxCare Health System in the Bronx, New York.

As Executive Director, Rachael will work closely with our Board, staff, partners, and community to strengthen relationships, advance our priorities, and further our mission: to raise funds to find a cure for multiple sclerosis and to support individuals and families living with MS until a cure is found.

I am equally grateful that EJ Levy, founder of MS Hope for a Cure and our former Executive Director, will continue her leadership within the organization, overseeing Finance and Fundraising and will continue to co-chair our Annual Poker Gala with me. We are excited to welcome Rachael’s vision, energy, and deep commitment to the MS community as we build on the strong foundation EJ has created and look toward the future.

Please join me welcoming Rachael to MS Hope for a Cure!
