Multiple sclerosis (MS) is a chronic and sometimes disabling disease of the central nervous system. MS is thought to affect more than 2.3 million people worldwide. Symptoms include fatigue, impaired vision, slurred speech, and partial or complete paralysis. At this time, there is no cure for MS.
MS Hope for a Cure was founded by Elissa (EJ) Levy in February of 2007. The mission of MS Hope for a Cure is to raise money to find a cure for Multiple Sclerosis and to support those individuals and their families living with MS until a cure is found. Since inception, MS Hope has raised over $9.6 million dollars and has funded 110 grants to help people living with MS. For more information please visit us at www.mshopeforacure.org.

Social workers play an important role in the lives of people living with MS. They not only listen to their struggles but connect them to and help them access the resources they need to live the most productive life possible. Social workers are critical everywhere but the are often a lifeline for those living in underserved communities who are under-insured or not insured at all. MS Hope currently pays 100% of the salaries of the social workers who work at the below MS Comprehensive Care Centers that treat patients from underserved communities.
